A friend of mine is coming into town in early August and I know he loves barbeque… what’re are some of the better places to go in town for a BBQ lover?  Another friend of mine said she heard there was a good place on Bull street, but didn’t know the crossroad or the name of it… anyone know?

blowin’ smoke is pretty good, and a great value if you’re hungry.  it’s on mlk.

the red door on wilmington island is supposed to be good, and have western(?) n.c. bbq, but i haven’t been myself.

there’s also some place in a lane off price, i think, that’s supposed to be amazing, but i haven’t been there, either.

Ended up taking my friend to Blowin’ Smoke yesterday for lunch on your suggestion and it was excellent.  He said he didn’t know of any place up in his area that did BBQ nearly that well.  Plus without even knowing it we ordered BBQ sandwiches when they were running a $5 sandwich special… so that was a nice little bonus as well!

Thanks again for the recommendations smile

Shanes BBQ!!! I promise U, it maybe the best peach cobbler U ever tasted people.  I go there some times just for the peach cobbler.  I went there and they did not have any, it was being made in the oven.  I waited those forty five minutes until it was finished, and brought an intire pan at that!!! they even serve collard greens as a side, and this is a retuarant with many chains all over the states guys.  There BBQ sauce is awesome.  Try the Chicken Fingers smothered in there original BBQ sauce. You will lick your fingers. The bake beans are great as well.  Try them with either of there hot BBQ sauces.  Mix it in yourself.  Oh, Boy, I tell ya the truth, it’s sinful.  Lol, absolutly, positvily 2 GOOD.  Eisenhower & Waters. Next to McDonalds. There’s another BBQ place next to it, however, I hate there BBQ sauce. BBQ sauce is everything if it’s being ate on the meat. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
